Last Updated: October 10, 2026
Effective Date: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy replaces the previous version dated September 23, 2025, effective as of the date stated above, subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
Radius App LLC, doing business as Radius (“Radius,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use our mobile application, visit https://radiusapp.co, communicate with us, attend our events, or otherwise interact with our products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
Radius is a location-based dating and social discovery application. Location information is central to how the application works. Please read the sections concerning precise location, background location, and interactions with other users carefully.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have been provided this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will request it separately. This Privacy Policy does not replace any consent required by law or your device’s permission controls.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Radius through its iOS application, website, account registration processes, communications, events, promotions, and related operations.
It covers information collected directly from you, automatically through your device, and from service providers or other sources where legally permitted.
Third-party websites, applications, venues, and services may have their own privacy policies. Radius is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with Radius and which features you use, we may collect the following categories of information.
A. Account and Registration Information
When you create or maintain an account, we may collect:
Your telephone number and related authentication information.
Your account identifier.
Your profile photograph.
Information you voluntarily provide during registration.
Account preferences and settings.
Account creation and activity timestamps.
Information associated with verification, account recovery, or support requests.
We use this information to create accounts, authenticate users, operate the Services, and help protect the platform against misuse.
B. Precise Location and Proximity Information
Radius is designed to help people discover mutual interest while physically present in the same supported location.
With the permissions required by your device and applicable law, we process location-related information, which may include:
Precise geographic coordinates.
Location updates received while the application is open.
Background location updates when you have enabled the relevant permissions.
Proximity to supported venues, parks, and other eligible locations.
Geofence entry, exit, and related events.
Venue or geographic-area identifiers.
Timestamps associated with location processing.
Location-related technical information necessary to determine whether users are eligible for discovery.
Background Location: Depending on your device permissions and the application’s functionality, Radius may access location information while the application is not actively displayed on your screen.
We use location information to determine whether you are within a supported area, identify other eligible users who may be present in the same location, enable location-based discovery, and support the security and functionality of the Services.
Radius is not designed to provide other users with your continuous movement history or a map of your travels.
We do not intentionally maintain a permanent, user-accessible history of every precise location you visit. However, location-related information may be processed or temporarily retained in operational systems, technical logs, caches, backups, or security records as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Any retention of precise location information must be consistent with our actual technical practices, applicable law, and the retention principles described below.
Important: Other users may infer that you are present at a particular supported location when your profile becomes discoverable there. Even if Radius does not display your exact coordinates, showing your presence at a venue may reveal information about your whereabouts.
C. Profile and User Interaction Information
We may collect information concerning your activity within Radius, including:
Your profile photograph and account information.
Profiles presented to you.
Private indications of interest.
Mutual-interest outcomes.
Relevant interaction timestamps.
Discovery eligibility and feature usage.
Reports, blocks, and other safety-related actions, where supported.
Account preferences and activity records.
Information concerning attraction, dating preferences, or mutual interest may be sensitive in context.
We use this information to operate the Services, facilitate mutual-interest discovery, prevent misuse, respond to safety concerns, and improve product performance.
D. Device, Technical, and Usage Information
When you access the Services, we may automatically collect:
Device type and operating system.
Application version.
Device or application identifiers.
IP address.
Network and connectivity information.
Application activity and performance information.
Crash reports and diagnostic information.
Error logs.
Security-related events.
Information concerning feature performance and usage.
We use this information for troubleshooting, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
E. Website and Communications Information
When you use our website, subscribe to communications, or contact Radius, we may collect:
Your email address.
Information submitted through website forms.
Communications and correspondence with our team.
Marketing preferences and subscription status.
Website usage and technical information.
Information about your interactions with emails, where permitted.
We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, understand traffic, measure performance, and support communications, as described below.
F. Support, Safety, and Reports
If you contact us or submit a complaint, report, or safety concern, we may collect information relevant to the issue, including your communications, account identifiers, descriptions of events, and materials you choose to provide.
We may also collect information from other users or appropriate third parties when investigating suspected violations, safety incidents, fraud, or unlawful conduct.
G. Purchases and Transactions
If Radius offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, we may receive transaction-related information, such as purchase status, product identifiers, subscription status, and payment confirmation.
Payments processed through Apple’s App Store or another payment provider are subject to that provider’s practices.
Radius does not necessarily receive or store complete payment card information when a third-party payment provider processes the transaction.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
Providing the Services: To register and authenticate accounts, display eligible profiles, process location and proximity information, enable private indications of interest, identify mutual interest, and operate the application’s features.
Maintaining Safety and Security: To identify suspicious activity, investigate reports, enforce our Terms of Use, prevent fraud and unauthorized access, and protect users, the public, and our Services.
Improving the Product: To analyze performance, understand feature usage, troubleshoot errors, improve location accuracy, and develop or test new functionality.
Communicating With You: To send account notices, verification messages, security alerts, support responses, important product information, and other service-related communications.
Marketing and Events: To send promotional communications, event invitations, product announcements, and other marketing materials where permitted by law and your preferences.
Business Operations: To manage our business, maintain records, conduct internal analysis, work with service providers, and support lawful corporate transactions.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, respond to valid legal requests, protect legal rights, and investigate or address potential violations.
We may use aggregated or deidentified information for analytics, product development, and business planning, provided that the information is handled in accordance with applicable law and is not used to identify individuals contrary to applicable requirements.
4. How Location-Based Discovery Works
Radius uses location and proximity processing to help determine whether eligible users are physically present in the same supported location.
When your account is eligible for discovery, certain profile information, including your photograph, may become visible to other eligible users associated with that location.
Other users may therefore learn or reasonably infer that you are present at a particular venue, park, or supported area.
Radius does not guarantee that another user’s location information is accurate, that the person remains present, or that any interaction will occur.
Location information may be inaccurate or delayed because of GPS limitations, device settings, connectivity, geofencing performance, or other technical factors.
You can manage location permissions through your device settings. Disabling permissions may prevent some or all location-based features from functioning.
The availability of background location processing depends on the permissions you grant and your device’s operating-system settings.
5. When We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.
A. Other Radius Users
We may display your profile photograph and relevant discovery information to other eligible users as necessary to provide the Services.
Mutual-interest results may be disclosed to the users involved when the applicable conditions are met.
We do not intend for private indications of interest to be disclosed to another user unless the application’s mutual-interest functionality permits that disclosure.
B. Service Providers
We may provide personal information to vendors and contractors that help us operate the Services, including providers of:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure.
Authentication and verification.
Application analytics.
Crash reporting and diagnostics.
Database and technical operations.
Communications and email delivery.
Customer support.
Security and fraud prevention.
Payment processing, where applicable.
These providers may process information on our behalf or, in some circumstances, as independent controllers or businesses under their own applicable terms.
We seek to use appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational protections for service-provider processing.
C. Legal and Safety Purposes
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary or legally required to:
Comply with valid legal process or applicable law.
Respond to lawful government or regulatory requests.
Investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct.
Address credible threats to the safety of individuals.
Protect the rights, property, or security of Radius, its users, or others.
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We evaluate requests and disclosures in accordance with applicable law.
D. Corporate Transactions
If Radius is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction, relevant personal information may be disclosed to appropriate transaction participants or transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality, notice, consent, and other legal requirements.
E. With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose personal information for other purposes when you direct us to do so or provide legally valid consent.
6. Sale of Personal Information and Future Data Practices
Radius does not currently intend to sell users’ personal information as a commercial data product.
We recognize that privacy laws may define a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information more broadly than an exchange of information for money. Certain advertising, analytics, or technology-provider arrangements may qualify as a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or other regulated disclosure depending on their configuration and applicable law.
Radius may evaluate additional business models, advertising services, partnerships, or data-related commercial opportunities in the future.
However, this Privacy Policy does not authorize Radius to begin selling or sharing personal information in ways that require additional notice, consent, or opt-out rights without first satisfying those legal requirements.
Before introducing any new activity that constitutes a regulated sale, sharing, or use of sensitive personal information, Radius will evaluate the applicable legal requirements, update its disclosures, and implement necessary privacy controls.
Where required, these measures may include:
Providing notice before the new processing begins.
Offering a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism.
Honoring applicable opt-out preference signals.
Obtaining affirmative consent.
Providing special protections for sensitive personal information.
Applying additional restrictions to information concerning minors.
Entering into appropriate agreements with recipients.
Limiting disclosures and uses as required by law.
We will not treat continued use of Radius as a substitute for affirmative consent when the law requires such consent.
Any future commercialization of location information, dating-related information, or other sensitive information will be subject to applicable legal restrictions.
7. Analytics, Cookies, and Similar Technologies
Radius may use analytics, diagnostic, and performance-monitoring technologies to understand how the Services function and identify areas for improvement.
These technologies may collect application activity, technical identifiers, performance events, crash information, and other usage data.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to support functionality, understand website traffic, remember preferences, and evaluate communications.
Depending on the technologies used and applicable law, we may provide additional notices, consent options, or controls.
You may also be able to manage certain tracking and privacy preferences through your browser or device settings.
Where legally required, we will obtain permission before using tracking technologies or processing data for purposes requiring consent.
8. Marketing Communications and SMS
Radius may send emails concerning launches, product updates, events, promotions, and other relevant communications.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those messages or by contacting ops@radiusapp.co.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily prevent important account, security, transactional, or legal notices.
Radius may use text messages or other authentication communications to verify accounts or support account access.
Marketing text messages, if introduced, will be subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
We do not treat agreement to this Privacy Policy as blanket consent to receive promotional text messages.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law.
Retention periods may vary depending on the category of information and its purpose.
For example:
Account information: Generally retained while an account remains active and for any additional period reasonably necessary for lawful operational, security, or recordkeeping purposes.
Profile photographs: Generally retained while needed to operate the account, subject to deletion requests, technical processing, and applicable exceptions.
Location and proximity information: Processed as necessary for location-based functionality. Operational records, logs, caches, and backups may have different retention periods. Radius does not intend to maintain a permanent history of users’ precise movements as a product feature.
Analytics and diagnostics: Retained according to operational needs, provider settings, and applicable retention policies.
Safety and enforcement records: May be retained where reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, prevent repeated abuse, enforce policies, or comply with legal obligations.
Transaction records: May be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and other lawful purposes.
Marketing information: Retained until it is no longer needed, you unsubscribe, or another applicable retention basis ends. Limited suppression records may be maintained to honor opt-out requests.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take appropriate steps to delete, deidentify, or otherwise dispose of it, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.
Information may remain temporarily in backups or other systems before being removed according to established retention processes.
10. Account Deletion and Data Requests
Radius provides an in-app account deletion function.
You may also contact ops@radiusapp.co to request assistance with account deletion or applicable privacy rights.
When an account deletion request is completed, Radius will delete or deidentify associated personal information as required by applicable law, subject to permitted exceptions.
Certain information may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes.
Deleting your account does not necessarily erase information independently retained by third parties or information lawfully retained in connection with another person’s account or a legal matter.
We may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of a person submitting a privacy request before processing it.
We will respond to legally protected requests within applicable statutory timeframes.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
Request access to personal information.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of personal information.
Obtain a copy of certain information.
Opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.
Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.
Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
Appeal certain privacy-request decisions.
Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
These rights may be subject to statutory exceptions, identity verification, and other applicable conditions.
You may submit requests by contacting ops@radiusapp.co.
Where a particular law requires an additional request mechanism, authentication procedure, opt-out control, or appeal process, Radius will provide it as applicable.
12. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Where such laws apply to Radius, we will provide required information concerning relevant categories of personal information, processing purposes, recipients, retention, and applicable privacy choices.
The categories of personal information described in Section 2 may include identifiers, internet or electronic network activity, geolocation data, photographs, account activity, and information that may qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law.
We process these categories for the business and operational purposes described in this Policy.
Where required by applicable law, eligible residents may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or opt-out of specified processing.
We will honor applicable legal restrictions on the sale or sharing of sensitive personal information and provide any additional notices or controls required by law.
Radius will not unlawfully discriminate against users for exercising protected privacy rights.
13. Sensitive Personal Information
Because Radius facilitates dating and real-world introductions, certain information processed through the Services may be sensitive, even when it does not fall within every jurisdiction’s statutory definition of sensitive personal information.
Examples may include precise location information, dating-related activity, and information that could reveal personal characteristics or associations.
We aim to limit processing of sensitive information to purposes reasonably necessary for operating, protecting, and improving the Services, or other purposes supported by an appropriate legal basis.
We do not treat this Privacy Policy as permission to use sensitive information for unrelated purposes that require additional consent or other legal authorization.
14. Data Security
Radius uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
These measures may include access restrictions, authentication controls, infrastructure protections, security monitoring, and other safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved.
However, no application, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Security incidents, unauthorized access, technical failures, and other risks may occur despite reasonable precautions.
If a security incident occurs, Radius will investigate and provide notifications to affected individuals, regulators, or other parties where required by applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy waives legal rights or obligations concerning data security or breach notification.
15. Children’s Privacy and Age Restrictions
Radius is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older.
Individuals under 18 are not permitted to create accounts or use the dating and discovery Services.
We do not knowingly permit minors to participate in the Radius dating application.
If we learn that an account belongs to an individual under 18, we may suspend or terminate the account and take appropriate steps to delete associated information, subject to applicable law.
If you believe a minor is using Radius, please contact ops@radiusapp.co.
16. International Users and Data Processing
Radius is currently designed primarily for use in New York City.
Personal information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where Radius or its service providers operate.
Different jurisdictions may provide different levels of data protection.
Where international privacy or data-transfer laws apply, we will use appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards as required.
Use of the Services does not waive any mandatory privacy rights provided by applicable law.
17. Third-Party Links, Venues, and Services
The Services may reference or interact with third-party websites, venues, businesses, event platforms, mapping services, payment systems, or other providers.
Those parties may independently collect or process information under their own privacy policies.
Radius does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.
We encourage you to review relevant third-party privacy notices before sharing information with them.
18. Business Transfers
Radius may undergo a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or other corporate transaction.
In connection with such a transaction, personal information may be reviewed, disclosed, or transferred where legally permitted.
Any recipient’s use of personal information will remain subject to applicable legal obligations, including requirements concerning notice, consent, and material changes to processing purposes.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Radius may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our Services, technology, information practices, legal obligations, or business operations.
When we update this Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above.
If changes are material, we will provide additional notice through the website, application, email, or another appropriate channel where required.
If a change requires affirmative consent under applicable law, we will seek that consent before engaging in the relevant processing.
Changes will not be applied retroactively where doing so would violate applicable law.
Previous versions may be retained by Radius for legal and compliance purposes.
